More than 1,600 people have accidentally drowned in the UK & Ireland in the last five years.

💧 47% occur between May–August
💧 82% of lives lost are male
💧 37% happen at weekends
💧 22% involve alcohol or drugs
💧 63% occur in inland waters such as rivers and lakes
💧 Drowning deaths of children in England have doubled over the past five years

Stay safe around water, supervise children closely, and never underestimate the risks.

🌊After the incredible success of our last Outdoor Floating Sound Bath, we’re so excited to announce that we’re doing it all again!

🛟🌊 DROWN PREVENTION WEEK 🌊🛟

We are proud to be supporting Drowning Prevention Week once again this year! Running from 13th–20th June, this national campaign helps raise awareness of how we can all stay safe in and around water.

As the summer approaches, it is so important that everyone stays safe when in and around water. Throughout the week, children will be taking part in activities during school lessons designed to educate them about important water safety skills. 💙

The Royal Life Saving Society UK's Water Safety Code:

⚠️ STOP AND THINK
Take time to assess your surroundings. Look for potential dangers and always follow local signs and safety advice.

👨‍👩‍👧 STAY TOGETHER
When around water, always go with friends or family where possible. Choose lifeguarded venues when swimming.

⚠️ Drowning can happen quickly and silently – even to strong swimmers.

If someone gets into difficulty in the water:

❌ Don't jump in after them – you could get into danger too.

✅ Call 999 immediately for emergency help. If you are at the coast, ask for the Coastguard.

✅ Talk to them and encourage them to kick their legs to help them move towards safety.

✅ If you fall into the water or become tired, stay calm, float on your back, and call for help.
