With temperatures set to rise again today, we would like to remind the public that using disposable BBQ’s and lighting fires on our moorlands, and within areas covered by Public Space Protection Orders (PSPO's) is illegal.

These actions massively increase the risk of wildfires, especially on warmer days. Wildfires can spread rapidly, causing serious and long lasting damage to wildlife, the environment and local communities.

Thank you to those who continue to report these illegal activities; supporting the efforts to prevent wildfires across our moorlands.

On the week commencing the 2th Feb, parking will be reduced on site to allow for important works to alter water pipes.

Parking spaces on site will be reduced in number whilst works take place. For some short periods when works take place near the entrance, the car park will be closed. Please bear this in mind when planning to visit the site. Works should last for 5 workings days.
