Police are appealing for witnesses after an RTC took place in . It occurred on Fri 5 June at around 8:40am and involved a small red vehicle and a three-year-old child who has sustained multiple broken bones as a result of the collision. The circumstances were that the mother and child were on the footpath along the Main Road, near to the doctors surgery, with the child being pushed in a buggy. The child fell out of the buggy and into the carriageway where a passing vehicle collided with the child causing serious injuries to be sustained. At this time the driver and vehicle are unidentified. A possible witness who stopped to help, then left before details could be taken. Anyone who witnessed the incident should contact Suffolk police report online https://orlo.uk/Ti0c3

๐Ÿšœ๐ŸŒพ Targeted Patrols โ€“ Stradbroke Area ๐ŸŒพ๐Ÿšœ

Following recent reports of children entering and โ€˜exploringโ€™ farm buildings near Stradbroke after the school day, targeted patrols have been carried out in the area by the Community Policing Team.
Some incidents have involved anti-social behaviour and damage, which has impacted the day-to-day running of the farm business. This was a follow-up visit after our Rural Policing Team recently attended the location which has been greatly appreciated by the owners.

๐Ÿšซ Farms are not playgrounds.
While they may look interesting places to explore, farms contain many hidden dangers including:
โš ๏ธ Heavy machinery
โš ๏ธ Livestock
โš ๏ธ Chemicals and fuels
โš ๏ธ Other Hidden dangers in and around farm buildings

We would ask parents and carers to please speak with children about the risks and the importance of respecting private property and local businesses.

๐Ÿ‘€ If you see suspicious activity, trespassing, or anti-social behaviour in rural areas, please report it to us. Your information helps us protect local communities and businesses. Reports can be made via 101, online, or always call 999 in an emergency.

Thank you to the local community for your continued support.

๐Ÿซ Today (08/06/2026) the Exploitation Team joined PS Wenden and I, to deliver the second of two inputs to students at Thomas Mills High School in Framlingham.

The sessions focused on Child Exploitation and Stop Search, helping students to better understand the risks, warning signs and the role policing plays in safeguarding young people and keeping communities safe.

Thank you to the staff and students for their engagement, thoughtful questions and warm welcome throughout both sessions. ๐Ÿ‘

๐Ÿš›๐Ÿš” Eye CPT โ€“ Always Happy to Help! ๐Ÿš”๐Ÿš›

You never really know what the day will hold when you are a CPT Officer and Friday was no different, in between investigating crime and dealing with reports of ASB as well as other incidents (see previous post in Eye) I was then off to the A140....

Iโ€™ll generally try to push most broken down vehicles off the road to keep the traffic flowing smoothly when I canโ€ฆ but even with my three Weetabix breakfast that morning, ๐Ÿ’ช I had absolutely no chance of pushing this one anywhere!
Despite having 13 good tyres on the tarmac, this huge car transporter had suffered a complete blowout on the nearside front tyre which was its Achilles heel this time, meaning this truck wasnโ€™t going anywhere fast on the A140 near Eye.

Thankfully, a great roadside tyre fitter was nearby and, with almost F1 pit-stop efficiency ๐Ÿ which was impressive, he removed the remains of the damaged tyre and fitted a brand new one in no time at all.

There were some slight delays for motorists on the A140 , but all in all the repair was completed quickly and efficiently.

A big thank you as well to all the drivers who gave me a thumbs up as they passed by, to the tyre fitter for getting the truck back on the move so quickly, and of course to everyone on the A140 for their patience whilst everything was dealt with safely ๐Ÿ‘

That simple gesture really is appreciated ๐Ÿ‘ โ€” especially knowing many of those drivers had probably been queueing for quite some distance before reaching me.
