Calling all regular users of the Tamar Valley Line.

Now available - great new Tap and Go Return fares to and from Plymouth with a GWR Smartcard. £7.20 Day Return Gunnislake/Calstock - Plymouth and £6.00 Day Return Bere Alston/Bere Ferrers - Plymouth. Valid on all trains so a big discount on the regular adult fares, especially the peak ones.

These new fares, which are live now, mean the end of our long running Tamar Valley Line Carnet scheme, launched in June 2004. The final booklets will be sold next Tuesday 2nd June. Carnet tickets will be valid until 30 June. The new Tap And Go Fares are equivalent to the cost of one Carnet Day Return meaning that Carnet purchasers will pay the same with the new Tap and Go fares as they have with the Carnet. As with the Carnet, there are no further child or railcard discounts.
