We urgently need volunteer drivers in Guildford!

FareShare Sussex & Surrey rescues 55 tonnes of good food every week and gets it to charities, schools and community groups. With demand rising, we need more drivers and drivers’ assistants to keep food moving.

Here's how we've been celebrating Volunteers' Week!
On Tuesday, June 2, we invited volunteers we know to drop by to our office in Millmead, Guildford for coffee and cakes, served by our Volunteer Connections staff member Kate Jones.
Our staff volunteer co-ordinator David Rose (who's also a local historian) then led our guests on a short guided history walk from our office in Millmead around a part of the town centre.
Stopping off at various points to hear snippets of Guildford's history, this included the River Wey Navigations at Millmead Lock, St Mary's Churchyard, the Castle Grounds focusing on its medieval history and the two war memorials by its bowling green.
Luckily we had just finished when there was a huge downpour of rain!
