Booking is essential - see more at the end.

Guildford Library has been lucky enough to get access to a part of Hay Literature Festival!
Our first screening is a pre-recorded interview with Dawn French about her new novel, speaking with Richard Coles about its dark comedy and sensitive subject matter. "Enough" follows main character Etta and her discovery of how to cure old age - this screening will be on the 27th of May at 2pm.

Next is the wonderful Dame Mary Berry, who's putting aside her baking tools to instead talk with Mel Giedroyc about her second passion: gardening. An uplifting conversation packed with practical advice and personal memories of her father, who inspired her to garden - this will be screened on the 29th of May at 2pm.

To book your space for one or both of the above screenings, please email us at [email protected]!

Pebble has decided to go on a little adventure touring Guildford getting some fabulous pictures that he wanted to show you!!
To celebrate Local and Community Month, we have made a delightful display showing some of the best landmarks around Guildford.
In the spirit of posting pictures, we thought we would show you some images we have from the 1960s when we first moved the Guildford Library into our current location. After being in this location for over 60 years, it's amazing to see how much our library has developed!

We would love to see any images you have of the Guildford Library throughout the past 60 years - if you would like to show us any of your lovely images, post them in the comments for us to see
