Three properties in Grimsby have been closed following successful partnership work between LHP and Humberside Police.

Following recent Police warrants at properties on Wharfdale Way, full closure orders have now been secured at court and all three homes have been closed and secured.

We know the impact persistent anti-social behaviour can have on people living nearby, and we will take action alongside our partners where behaviour is causing harm to our customers and communities.

Thank you to local residents who raised concerns and shared information. We hope this action provides some much-needed reassurance and makes a positive difference to the neighbourhood.
We’ll continue working with Humberside Police and our other partners to help keep our communities safe.

Neighbourhood Action Plans in Action: Creating Communal Gardens to Be Proud Of

Thornton Crescent is a great example of how our Neighbourhood Action Plans help turn customer ideas into lasting improvements.

Over the past eight years, customers have transformed their communal garden into a vibrant shared space with colourful planting, a sensory rose garden, wildlife-friendly areas, bird feeding stations, fruit trees, seating areas and a beautiful cherry blossom tree.

When customers highlighted the need for a shared garden shed, Becky, one of our Neighbourhood Officers, secured funding with support from Georgia Berry, Place Officer, helping bring the project to life. Installed this summer, the shed provides access to shared gardening equipment, making it easier for everyone to help maintain and develop the garden.

A special thank you to Chris, a Thornton Crescent customer, for his support with the project.

This is a great example of how listening to customers, understanding local priorities and investing in neighbourhood improvements can strengthen communities and create places people are proud to call home.

Memory Lane, our Dementia Day Service, offers a safe and welcoming environment for people living with dementia, giving carers valuable time to rest, recharge, or focus on other priorities. 💙

📅 When: Every Tuesday & Thursday
📍 Where: Mayfields, Broadfield Lane, Boston, PE21 8GH

At Memory Lane, you’ll find:
✅ Flexible full or half-day sessions
✅ Friendly, dementia care trained staff
✅ A secure and peaceful setting
✅ Engaging activities, gentle exercise & a nutritious two-course lunch

The first session is free, with no obligation to book further sessions, giving attendees the opportunity to come along with a carer, experience the service, and see if it’s the right fit.
