We're delighted that our lovely children's librarian, Jen, has co-authored this fantastic new book, Feminist Librarianship. 📚📖

Focussing on the strong link between libraries and female empowerment, the book explores many timely issues including how libraries can catalyse women's creativity, menstrual literacy in bloody brilliant libraries, A.I. and eco-friendly, sustainable initiatives. Feminist Librarianship is available now to borrow from our libraries!

We have been sharing Impossible Creatures by Katherine Rundell at our Library Club in Greenock Central Library

This week, our created their own 'Impossible Creatures' trading cards.

We discussed what powers they would have, their signature moves and how they could help or hinder the world. We looked at the myths and legends of some mythical creatures and took inspiration from what we discovered, we tested our knowledge to match the names to the descriptions and used what we learned to create our own Impossible Creatures!
