Happy Mother’s Day to all our brilliant Scout mums! 🌷

The ones who welcome children home covered in mud, have accepted glitter as a permanent feature of the car, stand outside the hall in the cold and dark waiting for sessions to finish… and somehow keep up with sewing all those badges onto jumpers. 🪡🏅

Today we’re celebrating all the incredible mother‑figures who support, guide and cheer on young people every day.

To the mums, grandmas, aunts, sisters, mentors, step‑mums, foster mums and anyone who’s ever offered care and encouragement — thank you. Your strength and kindness make such a difference. 💜🌸

Squirrel Scouts celebrated Australia Day in true Squirrel style! 🇦🇺🐿️
We dodged crocs in some very serious crocodile-themed games, created colourful dot art masterpieces, and (most importantly) made fairy bread.

We also said a big hello to our newest Squirrel, Jamie 👋 and a proud farewell to Charlie, Freddie, Luca and Katie as they move up to Beaver Scouts 🦫💛

And in true Squirrel timing, we finally handed out some very belated year badges to Henry, Luca, Harrison, Holly and Caden — who are somehow already almost due for their second year participation award! 😄🎉

🧡🐿️ BREAKING NEWS FROM THE OAK TREE 🐿️🧡

We always knew our Squirrel Scouts were special... but today, nature confirmed it! 🌳

REAL SQUIRRELS have officially moved into our oak tree — clearly impressed by our knot-tying skills, snack stash, and top-tier acorn appreciation. 🥜

We’re not saying they’re joining the Group... but we did catch one trying to earn a badge in “Extreme Nut Hiding.” 🏅

A huge thank you to everyone who supported our 1st Greenisland Scout Group raffle — your generosity helped us raise funds for future adventures.

Congratulations to our lucky winner Mark Brolly, who took home the wonderful hamper! 🎁

Every ticket bought helps our Scouts enjoy more camps, outdoor fun, and skills for life — we couldn’t do it without you ⚜️

Hi - our amazing Squirrel and Scout leader Mark is currently taking part in a 7 week charity cycle across the UK and Ireland to raise funds for UNICEF 🚴‍♂️🚵‍♂️
He has very kindly taken one of our Squirrel mascots on his journey and has been sending regular updates as he & his colleagues take on this challenge!
