Ensure Fire Safety Ltd. At Ensure Fire Safety we aim to use our experience and expertise to help you through the minefield of Who is responsible for Fire Safety? Where do I start?

At Ensure Fire Safety we aim to use our experience and expertise to help you through the minefield of legislation, laws, British Standards and local authority requirements regarding your obligations for providing a safe environment for personnel entering your business premises. If you operate from business premises, you have a legal obligation to ensure fire safety to safeguard your staff, visito

rs, customers and residents from the dangers a fire could pose. The start point to for all businesses is to carry out a Fire Risk Assessment (a legal requirement to comply with the 'Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005') and record the findings if 5 or more people are employed. What is a Fire Risk Assessment? The primary objective of a fire risk assessment is to identify fire risks that may affect the safety of people entering the site. The Fire Risk Assessment should make recommendations on the actions required to reduce the risks. What recommendations might a Fire Risk Assessment make? For some smaller simple premises, the requirements for ensuring fire safety may be as little as installing one multi-purpose fire extinguisher, escape route signage and giving employees a simple 'fire procedures' talk. Larger, more complex buildings may require a suitable fire alarm system, emergency lighting, fire extinguisher points throughout the building and fire safety and evacuation training for employees. Where can I get advice on the Fire Safety equipment I need? We can provide a free, no obligation survey to help provide you with site-specific advice and quotes. Why should I choose Ensure Fire Safety? As our engineers are trained to install and service all fire safety equipment (fire alarms, emergency lighting, fire extinguishers and fire suppression systems), We can offer the most cost effective prices for installations and servicing. Ensure Fire Safety have an on-going commitment to provide our customers with the best possible service, backed up with training, certification and the professional development of our employees, which includes:

So this image is from the early 1900’s of a Fire Fighters suit to enable them to get closer to the fire !!!

Thankfully our firefighters today have moved on and have the newest technology, and PPE / Uniforms to allow them to do their jobs, but to kit out a fire fighter can cost up to 2k per basic kit.
