Bike repairs underway!

IMPORANT NEWS - FREE BIKE REPAIRS!
As you will know, we were delighted to be successful in a bid to the Active Travel Fund, supported by David Skaith, Mayor of York and North Yorkshire and funded by York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority.
We have assembled three bike stores and filled two of them with balance bikes and scooters for our youngest children. The big bike store gives safe, secure, dry storage for children’s bikes (and parents) to help support cycling to school.
ALSO… The Mayor has funded four sternly bike maintenance sessions with our friends Spokey Dokey Bikes. The first of these is Saturday 12th and 9am on the school playground. ANYONE can bring their bikes for a check over and free repair. We really want whole families to have safe, working bikes. Just turn up and Claire and Rob will fix them!

Hi everyone, we are looking for about 6 good strong wooden pallets for use in school. Does anyone have any spare? We can collect. They need to be stamped so we can be sure they are safe for use in school. (Anything with EPAL or EUR is fine, MB is not!)

Look at our amazing new EYFS trim trail - perfect for developing gross motor skills and strength for writing. More importantly…it’s SO MUCH FUN!

Exciting news! We’ve been awarded over £6000 for a set of bikes, scooters and helmets for Dragons Class, and another set for Unicorns, with staff training on how best to use them! On top of this, we will have storage and a proper bike store. Also, our friends at Spokey Dokey Bikes will come into school each term to provide bike maintenance for the whole family! ❤️

Improved walking and cycling routes, secure bike storage, and training to boost confidence will be delivered across York and North Yorkshire.

What an amazing day! SO many parents, pupils and ex-pupils in school getting things looking amazing in school! Painting, varnishing, fencing, weeding, moving stones, laying a patio, moving shelters, jet-washing, planting…. such an upgrade to our amazing playground, field and EYFS area. Thank you SO much to everyone who came to help 😍
