Unlock extra funding for your cause without spending a penny.

Join Thurrock CVS and EasyFundraising on September 8th for a free "Meet the Funder" session. You’ll learn how your charity, school, CIC, or community group can raise unrestricted funds through everyday online shopping at over 8,000 retailers.

Becky from EasyFundraising will share a live demo, setup tips, and answer your questions. Spots are limited, so feel free to share this with your team and register early.

What an amazing summer of Big Lunches across Thurrock! ☀️

Five events, five afternoons, one community coming together. East Tilbury, South Ockendon, Chadwell St Mary, Corringham and Blackshots hosted the biggest Big Lunches yet, with over 5,000 people turning up for the fun.

Sport, crafts, entertainment, stalls, and just people being together - that’s what these afternoons were all about. Spending time outside, catching up and enjoying the local area. 🏡

We loved being part of it again this year. Massive thanks to everyone who came along, volunteered, performed or helped out behind the scenes - you made these days what they were.

Here’s to next summer!

Through our Employee-Supported Volunteering (ESV) programme, Thurrock CVS is connecting local businesses with organisations that could benefit from a day of volunteering.

Whether it’s a garden clearance, painting and decorating, refreshing a space or another project that needs extra people power, we’d love to hear from you.

You provide the materials and resources - the business provides the volunteers.

Head on down to the penultimate Big Lunch today in Corringham! 🏡

Get ready for a jam-packed day of free family fun! Catch Hype Sister! A bold, bright wheelchair-based acrobatics show from Kat Ball and Danielle Summers set to 90s pop, created specially for Thurrock's Big Lunches through Start Thurrock's partnership with Lavrak Circus.

Then travel back to the 80s with RIDE by ZoieLogic, a high-octane dance theatre show inspired by Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, starring three blokes and one 1980s Ford Orion with a mind of its own! 🚗

There's also a live DJ set, Qigong workshops, sports, games, stalls and creative activities from Kinetika, Thurrock Museum and Thurrock Libraries.
