We've been listening to local people about what they'd like to see at the centre, and on the day we'll be sharing what we've learned, the progress made so far, and how you can continue to shape its future.

🌿 Come and see what’s happening at Chafford Gorges! 🌿

📅 Saturday 19 September | 10am–4pm

We’re opening the doors of the Chafford Gorges Nature Discovery Centre and inviting the local community to come and see how the next chapter is taking shape.

Come along to:

💬 See what you told us – discover the feedback and ideas gathered through our recent community engagement programme and how they are helping shape the future of Chafford Gorges.

🏡 Explore the newly refurbished centre – have a look around the improvements we’ve been making and see the space starting to come back to life.

🌱 Find out what happens next – we’re getting ready to enter a test and trial period, where we’ll try out activities, ideas and ways of using the centre and reserve with the community.

This is just the beginning. The centre isn’t fully launched yet, and there’s still lots to develop, test and shape – and we want the community to be part of that journey.

So come along, have a look, find out what we’ve been working on and help us take the next step towards creating a Nature Discovery Centre that works for people and nature.

If you love Chafford Gorges, this is your chance to help shape its future.

Over the past few months, we've been chatting to visitors, neighbours and local groups and now we're bringing those ideas together in a pair of friendly workshops.

Come along to:
🌿 Hear what people have been saying
💬 Share your own ideas and experiences
🌟 Help shape the future of the centre from 2027

Your feedback will also help influence activities coming later this year and improvements to the site.

Over the past months, we’ve been out in the community listening to local people and organisations. Now, we’re bringing those ideas together and inviting you to help shape a shared vision for the future.

This workshop is a chance to:
- Hear what we’ve learned so far
- Share your ideas and experiences
- Help shape the future of the centre from 2027 and beyond

Your input will also help guide trial activities planned for summer and autumn 2026, as well as improvements to the building and surrounding space.

🕜 Time: Arrive from 1:30pm for a 2:00pm start

📆 Date: Saturday 23 May
🕜 Time: Arrive from 9:30am for a 10:00am start
Both workshops will be identical so you only need to attend one
