Enjoying National children's Gardening Week the children have been out in the garden tending to the vegetables and fruit they are growing! Encouraging children to work as a team. Playing games whilst using motor skills and problem solving and imagative play. Discussing safety in the 🌞 and hot weather! We have also been out and about ! Also saying farewell to the Butterflies and seeing the fully cycle from caterpillar to butterfly 🦋.

Last week we have looked at colours and Rainbows !
Learning about how Rainbows are formed and making our own with experiments!

🐞🐜🐛Bugs,Beetles and Butterflies 🦋

Last week we looked at the Life cycle of Butterflies and Caterpillars! Making a bug and ant home and going on a Bug and Beetle hunt!
Through exploration,observation and interactive play and working together as a team, taking turns and understanding the world around us.

Easter fun with the children! We have been improving our motor skills and learning about Easter and what it represents in different cultures also the children liked our Easter Sensory table and making bird nest!!

Just a snap shot of what we have covered so far!
World book day we had some lovely costumes and focused on interactive story telling with the children, creative play and fun activities.
We have looked at Mothers day and the meaning with art and craft and the pre schoolers have continued to use their motor skills for the start of letter writing. We have topped up the food for the wildlife and look forward to seeing the little birds from the bird box in the future and of course ending the week with the park and the library

Last week we were experimenting with sorting and categorising pasta shapes, measuring and weighing. The children covered tactile exploration sensory stimulation, hand eye co-ordination and while using fine motor skills.

This half term we have been learning about hands on opportunity to teach the children tradition fine motor skills and cooking with Pancake day and Valentines Day aswell as Chinese New Year and lantern making. Although we don't have the photos of the finished pancakes as they didn't last long with honey!
The children have also been learning to identify ,names and describe 3D shapes by exploring through everyday objects and play based activities .
