Our The Labour Party MP for Gravesham Dr Lauren Sullivan MP asking the first question at Prime Minister's Questions today in the UK House of Commons and again making the case for Gravesham asking the Government to support small and independent businesses and our local economy and support her campaign to bring back the Gravesend to Tilbury Ferry after it was cut by the Conservatives. A positive response from the Deputy Prime Minister David Lammy which we know Lauren will follow up on and continue the campaign.

Come on England! ⚽️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Wishing the very best of luck to the England team tonight as they kick off their World Cup campaign against Croatia.

I hope residents across Gravesham enjoy the match this evening – whether you’re watching with family and friends at home or out supporting our fantastic local pubs and venues showing the game.

A special shoutout to Marc Guehi, who attended St George’s C of E School here in Gravesend. It’s incredibly inspiring to see one of our own representing our great nation on the world stage.

Let’s get behind the team and cheer them on together. 💪⚽️

'This is a line in the sand, tech giants had their chance and failed'. Now this The Labour Party Government is stepping in to protect children and back parents.

If tech companies aren’t going to do their part in protecting our children, this Labour Government will step in.

Today’s announcement follows one of the biggest national conversations held by this government, with more than 116,000 responses from parents, children and experts across the country.

Those responses showed overwhelming support for stronger action, with 9 in 10 parents saying they would back a social media ban for children under 16.

This The Labour Party Government has given social media companies plenty of opportunities to do the right thing time and time again. Now the Government is protecting our children by banning social media for under 16's, having listened to parents, industry and young people where 90% of parents backed restrictions.

Today, we join with everyone in Gravesham in commemorating 82 years since the Normandy landings, beginning the liberation of Western Europe.

We pay tribute to and honour the bravery and sacrifice of all those who fought and defeated fascism.

We will remember them.

Great new facility in the town coming from your local The Labour Party Led Gravesham Borough Council. A brand new play space, investing in the town.

🎉 A fantastic new inclusive play space is coming to the heart of Gravesend! 🎉

Work is set to begin this month on a brand-new inclusive playground at the rear of St George’s Centre, creating a fun, welcoming and accessible space where children of all abilities can play, explore and enjoy time together.

The exciting new facility will include:
🛝 Multi-play equipment
🎠 Swings
🎡 Accessible roundabout
✨ Trampoline and see-saw
🎵 Musical and sensory play features
♿ Wheelchair-accessible seating and picnic facilities

Designed with inclusion at its heart, the playground will help ensure more children can enjoy the benefits of play in a safe, accessible and engaging environment.

This exciting project forms part of the Council’s wider £20 million Local Regeneration Fund investment, helping to improve community facilities and enhance Gravesend town centre for residents, businesses and visitors alike.

We’re excited to see this new family-friendly space take shape and become a place where local children can make memories, build confidence and have fun for years to come.

Take a look at the plans and let us know what you’re most excited to see 👇
