We are looking forward to seeing all our little V.I.Ps in Bunnies next week after the Easter break.
Next week "We're going on a bear hunt" with lots of bear themed activities.
🐻 Bear hunt tuff tray to explore the story with different textures.
🐻 Our own "cave" to explore and find the bears.
🐻 Looking for the bears hidden around the room and going on a bear hunt outside.
🐻 Using our senses to explore grass, water mud, and ice like in the story.
🐻 Finding the bear footprints in the sand.
🐻 Colouring our own teddy pictures.......and of course we will be reading the book lots.
There are also cars, dolls and the home corner to play with and different books to look at and share.
Have a great weekend and we look forward to a week of fun and play with lots of learning opportunities.

🌟Continuing with our Christmas crafts
We have also made a dinosaur world as some of the children have been interested in dinosaurs 🦖🦕

🚗 Cars and garage
🧱 Mega blocks for building and also construction area with wooden blocks
🏠 Home corner with dolls and teddies to play with
📚 Reading area with Christmas books and stories to look at and share.

On Thursday it is Christmas jumper day if you want to wear a Christmas jumper.

Don't forget we also have raffle tickets on sale in the room.

Christmas has arrived in the Hedgehog room! 🎄🎅❤️

Over the next few weeks we will be…..
🎄 Getting busy in our very own ‘Santas Workshop!’ 🎅
🎄 Feeding the reindeer in the sensory tray! 🎅
🎄 Finishing off our Christmas crafts! 🎅
🎄 Cinnamon scented playdough where we will be making our own gingerbread men! 🎅

🎄 Fine motor skills challenge!

⭐️ The children’s Christmas sing a long is on Wednesday afternoon, 2-3pm. The children have been practicing the songs every morning so would be great to see you all there! Raffle tickets are still available. If you would like any, let me know and I can sort them for you. The raffle will be drawn Wednesday afternoon 😃

Over the next few weeks in Owls,
We will be exploring numbers, focusing on counting, numerals and amounts of objects.

We have created a Dinosaur land at a request of a few of our owls 🦕

We will also be exploring winter and what happens through this season ❄️🌨️⛄️🌫️

And last but not least we are also very excited to dive in to the festive fun! 🥰🎄
You may have already heard a few Christmas tunes from our little V.I.P’s at home.
We will be enjoying learning new songs, Christmas crafts and talking about what we enjoy most about the festive period.

This week in Bunnies we are taking part in World Nursery Rhyme week. We are enjoying singing different nursery rhymes and doing different activities relating to some of the nursery rhymes. We have made our own Humpty Dumpty and made crowns for six a song of sixpence.
We are enjoying playing with the drum and other musical instruments exploring the different sounds and making loud and quiet sounds. This relates to the nursery rhyme "i hear thunder".
We have been building Humpty Dumpty a wall with the building blocks and play dough.
We are having a great week enjoying lots of nursery rhymes for World Nursery Rhyme Week.

In Owls over the next 2 weeks we will be focusing on Nursery Rhymes alongside Traditional tales, we have Goldilocks being mischievous in the 3 bears house and Mary had a little lamb and Incey wincey spider.
The activities will encourage communication and problem solving with their peers as well as playing out the story with our lollipop characters.

Over the next few weeks in the Hedgehog room we will be looking at the story ‘The Three Little Pigs’ 🐷🐷🐷
The children have all really enjoyed reading ‘Goldilocks’ and ‘The Gingerbread Man’ so I thought this story would be the perfect one to look at next!

We will be…..
⭐️ Exploring the straw and the characters in the sensory tray, encouraging the children later on in the week to retell the story! 🐷
⭐️ Building houses in our very own Construction Area! 🧱
⭐️ Building with the Lego Duplo which is a favourite in the Hedgehog room! 😃
⭐️ A new fine motor skills challenge! 🧩
⭐️ Decorating biscuits! 😋
⭐️ Crafting which includes making our very own paper plate pig and sticking and gluing activities! 🎨
⭐️ Continuous provision will be the home corner, story area and craft table! 🖍️📘🎂

⭐️ Next week it is also Nursery Rhyme Week! So to start the week off we have an ‘Incy Wincy Spider’🕷️ tuff tray for the children to explore! We will be singing nursery rhymes daily, and changing the tuff tray every few days 🥰
