We've been stepping up patrols across Grantham's parks and public spaces this summer.

Our officers and PCSOs have been carrying out targeted patrols in areas including Wyndham Park and Dysart Park to tackle anti-social behaviour, addressing concerns around illegal e-bikes and helping keep everyone safe.

We are also working to prevent incidents around local waterways during the school holidays.

Following a three-day trial, a Grantham man has been found guilty of a string of s*xual-related offences.

A Grantham man has been found guilty of s*x offences.

A 62-year-old Grantham man was found guilty of a string of s*xual-related offences, including making indecent photographs of a child, when he appeared at Lincoln Crown Court.

Following a three-day trial, which began on Tuesday 25 August, Steven Robins of Fourth Avenue was found guilty of the following offences:

➡️ Two counts of making indecent photographs of a child
➡️ Engaging in s*xual activity in the presence of a child under the age of 16
➡️ Two counts of engaging in non-penetrative s*xual activity with a child under the age of 16
➡️ Causing the s*xual exploitation of a child under the age of 18

Robins was remanded into custody until his next appearance at Lincoln Crown Court in October.

🚨 Anti-Social Behaviour – Grantham Town & Local Parks

The Grantham Neighbourhood Policing Team is aware of an increase in reports of anti-social behaviour (ASB), specifically involving youths, across Grantham town centre and within some of our local parks.

We understand the impact this behaviour can have on residents, visitors, businesses and other young people who simply want to enjoy their town safely.

We’re asking parents and guardians to have a conversation with their children about the importance of behaving appropriately and respectfully when out in the community. A reminder that actions which may seem like “a bit of fun” can have a significant impact on others and, in some circumstances, can cross the line into criminal behaviour.

We will be taking action. Officers and PCSOs will continue to patrol areas where ASB has been reported, engage with those involved and work with partners to identify those responsible.

Where specific individuals are identified, we will take appropriate action and, where the evidence supports it, prosecute offenders.

We want Grantham to be a safe and enjoyable place for everyone. Your support in speaking to young people about respect, responsibility and appropriate behaviour can make a real difference.

Were you in the vicinity of Gonerby Hill Foot on Saturday 15 August at around 1045pm? Can you help our appeal?

APPEAL: White BMW 3 series that failed to stop on Gonerby Hill Foot

We are appealing for information after a report of a man having been knocked off his bike on Gonerby Hill Foot on Saturday 15 August. We are looking to locate the driver of a white BMW 3 series.

At approximately 10.45pm, a cyclist wearing a high visibility jacket, helmet, with front and rear lights illuminated, was approaching the brow of the hill on the B1174 single carriageway heading towards Great Gonerby village. The nearside wing mirror of a white BMW 3 series has struck the cyclist and became detached.

We are keen to locate the driver of the BMW which had black wing mirrors. It was travelling in the direction of the A1. Checks suggest that the vehicle is aged between 2008 to 2012.

The bike was a beige Carrera Crossland hybrid bicycle.

Roads Policing offices are looking to identify the driver and location of the BMW. If you were travelling in the area at the time or captured any other CCTV or doorbell footage that might be of note for investigating officers, please get in touch. There are a number of ways to do this:

While a dedicated taskforce of specialist officers and The Met's Operation Orochi unit (County Lines Taskforce) was assembled, targeting Skegness drugs lines, a dynamic piece of intelligence led to an arrest in Grantham.

Grantham man sentenced to nine years.

Andrew Hack was sentenced to nine years in prison for controlling and coercive behaviour as well as three charges of assault and ill treatment of a child.

This follows his arrest in October 2022 for controlling and coercive behaviour towards his wife and assault of his now adult children.

Following the investigation, and the bravery of the victims who all gave evidence, Hack was found guilty on 13th March 2026 after a trial at Lincoln Crown Court.

Hack, who is aged 55 and from Gorse Road in Grantham, appeared for sentencing last week on the 10 July.

This has been a difficult time whilst the investigation has been ongoing for all involved and we would like to pay tribute to the family for their strength and determination throughout.
