Great news for Inverclyde 🙌

A new Youth Hub is coming to our community, bringing together jobs, training, careers advice and vital support for young people under one roof thanks to UK Government funding.

This is part of Labour’s £2.5 billion Youth Guarantee, a once in a generation investment to tackle youth unemployment and ensure every young person has the chance to learn or earn.

With over 360 Youth Hubs planned across the country, we’re making sure support is never far from where young people live.

I know many constituents have raised concerns about ongoing issues with the pedestrian lights next to Greenock Fire Station.

I have received confirmation from Amey that the signals are experiencing fluctuating power supply issues which they are currently investigating.

This is a significant and welcome step forward. I’ve listened to parents, carers and young people over the last couple of years tell me about the impact that social media has had on their lives and I’m glad that the Government has taken this step today.
