🚨Think scams only happen to older people? Think again 🚨
More and more young people are being targeted by fraudsters, both online and in person.
Scammers aren't just looking to steal money. They also need help moving it, and that's where they often target young people.
You could be contacted through social media, gaming platforms, a friend, someone you've recently met, or even someone you trust. They might offer you quick cash for using your bank account or transferring money. Sounds easy, right? Wrong.
💸 This is called money laundering, and if you get involved, you could become a money mule without even realising it.
Being a money mule can have serious consequences, including:
Losing access to your bank account
Finding it harder to get loans or a mortgage in the future
Receiving a criminal record
Don't get caught out by promises of "easy money".
