Yesterday we helped support a local school to open their new on-site library. We loved sharing stories with the children and informing the wider community of the events that we host on a weekly basis.

๐ Exciting News - Our New Library is OFFICIALLY OPEN๐
What a magical day at school today! There was an incredible buzz in the air as the whole school helped to officially open our brand-new destination library. We were honoured to welcome the Mayor, alongside our newest Governor, Mr. Brunt, to cut the ribbon and help us celebrate. A huge thank you to Gemma from the Discovery Centre, who spent a wonderful afternoon reading captivating stories with our Year 3 and Year 4 children. Keep an eye out for us in The News, as their reporter was on-site to capture all the excitement. This amazing new space wouldn't exist without the incredible hard work of our school team and community:
๐จ Mr. Riley has spent countless hours decorating, sorting, and constructing the space - it looks fantastic!
๐ A huge thank you to Mrs Connor for sorting our library books, and to our librarian friend, Mrs Hawksworth from KA Bay House, who generously volunteered her time after school to help and advise us.
This afternoon, every child completed a special library craft session, so everyone is officially ready to make full use of our new learning. The library features a stunning view of the school grounds and will be accessible at various times throughout the school day, as well as during upcoming parent/child reading sessions. To keep our new space extra cosy, the library is a strictly shoe-free zone for both adults and children. So, get ready to get comfy with a great book.
As Winnie the Pooh celebrates his 100th birthday today, we are reminded of the immense joy and comfort that reading brings to us all:
"You're braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think." A.A. Milne
We canโt wait to see all of our young readers explore, dream, and grow in their new favourite space.
