🚀✈️Taking to the skies🛩🚀

An incredible day recently for Gosport Air Cadets as we joined forces with Fareham and Waterlooville cadets for Gliding Induction Flights! ✈️

Hosted by 622 Volunteer Gliding Squadron at Upavon Airfield, cadets experienced the thrill of flight, taking to the skies and seeing the world from a whole new perspective.

A fantastic opportunity and an unforgettable experience for all involved—well done to everyone who took part!

🏃‍♂️⚽ Sporting Fun ⚽🏃‍♂️

Recently, 1350 (Fareham & District) Squadron joined us at Fort Blockhouse for an evening of sports.

Cadets got stuck into rugby drills, took on some Blue DofE challenges, and enjoyed plenty of teamwork and friendly competition. A brilliant opportunity to connect, build skills, and have some fun together.

🎉🎖Celebrating Success🎖🎉

Gosport Air Cadets hosted their awards evening at YourSpace, Gosport, on the date of the Air Training Corps' 85th Anniversary.

Awards were presented by the squadron commander, our sector commander, and the squadron chaplain, not only acknowledging individual effort and success, but also reinforcing the values of respect, integrity, service, and excellence.

The presentation evening also marked the enrolment of our recruit intake. Together with Rev Hiscock, they recited the cadet promise before their peers. Well done Wallace Intake!

Our events in the community and with the families of our cadets are only possible because of our Civilian Committee, who meet once per quarter to organise fundraising and the management of our charitable funds. The evening also formed our committee's Annual General Meeting, with parents and guardians in attendance, to elect the new officers for the coming year.

Gosport Air Cadets went Christmas climbing!

Organised by our Civilian Committee in collaboration with 1350 Fareham & District Squadron, Air Training Corps, our cadets (and several staff) enjoyed a few hours climbing at Rock Up Whiteley!

Gosport Air Cadets hosted our Awards Evening on Thursday, coinciding with the celebration of our 85th Anniversary. While we put the finishing touches on our photography, let's have a quick recap on our activities in the last few weeks.

A staple in our calendar is the Christmas Carol Service at St Luke's Church. Every year since we reopened, we have sang with the community. Led by our own Chaplain, Rev Hiscock, and promoted by the Haslar Heritage Group—who are dedicated to promoting the rich heritage and history of the Royal Hospital Haslar, together with that of the Royal Navy medical and nursing services and the many illustrious people that have worked, studied and lived there.

Over the last week, Gosport Air Cadets joined the nation in acts of remembrance.

We attended the Gosport Civic Remembrance Parade on Sunday, and joined St Luke's Church in their Act of Remembrance on Armistice Day with Haslar Heritage Group.
