It is brilliant that so many groups make use of the library and hub. Singers, sewing, Pilates, artists, card clubs, citizens advice, card makers, knitters, book clubs. Elson library and hub is a true community asset run by amazing volunteers.

The library’s Summer Bazaar on Saturday 4th July still has a few spaces for sellers. If you wish to book a table please contact [email protected] . Table will be provided £15. Please note due to scammers all communications and invoices will be from an Elson library email and payment will be either by BACS or cash.

If the rumours are correct warmer days are just around the corner. “Love outdoors solent” has provided the library with some great games and pastimes to play outdoors. Just sign them out for up to two weeks on your library card. Must be an adult present to sign out.

Today marks our 5th Birthday. Thank you to everyone who has supported us in making your community library a brilliant success. Big thank you to all the volunteers past and present who have been amazing.

With the very kind support of Vivid housing throughout the summer holidays there will be lots for young families to do with crafting, magicians, storytellers and soft play. More details to follow.

They are back……. on Saturday 20th June the brilliant Pop Pickers will be at the library playing all the hits from the 60s/70s. Tickets are now on sale at reception. Members £8 non members £10. Bring your own food and drink, all soft drinks and bottled water are provided free.

It was lovely to have the wonderful Holbrook WI back at Elson community Library for the second year and brilliant that all of their hard work raised an amazing £670 for the Air Ambulance. Thank you to all of the community who turned out to support them
