Did you know that Vision Norfolk run audio book clubs in our libraries?

The monthly meetings are informal, friendly and everyone has an opportunity to give their thoughts and opinions on the audiobook of the month.

Books are supplied for free on an USB memory stick or MP3 CD.

Vision Norfolk would love to welcome some new members to each group, so if you are interested or have any questions then please do not hesitate to contact Mark on 01603 573000 Ext. 341 or at [email protected]

For a full list of libraries with audio book clubs, visit https://www.visionnorfolk.org.uk/get-support/activities/audio-book-clubs/

πŸ’™ Carers Week – 8–14 June

This week we recognise unpaid carers and the vital role they play in supporting families and communities.
Gorleston Library is here for everyone β€” whether you need information, support, or a welcoming space πŸ’›

You’re amazing. Through us all coming together and sharing our support, we can help ensure our communities recognise, understand and value unpaid carers. Your name will soon appear on the Building Carer Friendly Communities wall, once our team has approved your entry.

Unfortunately, we are still experiencing technical difficulties with our public print & copying service.

We do not currently have a time frame for when this service will be back up to functionality and would still recommend Great Yarmouth Library as an alternative.

Apologies for any inconvenience.

Good morning, unfortunately we are having technical issues with our public print & copy service at the moment so a limited service will be running via staff until this is fixed. Great Yarmouth library is the closest alternative if you would prefer.
Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

Thank you to everyone who came along to our Lowestoft to Yarmouth Railway exhibition this week!

We were delighted to see such a great turnout and so much interest in the history of this important local line. It was wonderful to welcome so many visitors and to share the story of the railway with our community.

A big thank you as well to the Lowestoft Central Project, The Wherry Lines Community Rail Partnership and Gorleston Library Friends for helping make the exhibition possible.

We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!

It's almost that time of year again... the Summer Reading Challenge!

Each summer we challenge children to read 6 books. In return they get stickers - plus a medal and a certificate for completing the challenge. This year the theme is 'Read to the Beat', and to celebrate we'll be hosting lots of fantastic music-themed events in our libraries.

The challenge itself will launch on Saturday 4 July. We'll have more info soon, so be sure to keep an eye on our socials!

The Summer Reading Challenge is presented by The Reading Agency and delivered by libraries.
