Our Story

The Bird & Deer Park and has been situated here at Prinknash Park for nearly 50 years now and has certainly changed a great deal over the years. The park is situated in a beautiful valley which has its charms and is well known for it beauty and style. The follies and fowl mix beautifully and it's open to all ages but if you are coming with a buggy then travel light or if your toddler is small then b ring a sling!

Everyone enjoys feeding the tame fallow deer and there are now more than ever having hand reared 4 in 2017 they are super tame and love meeting all the visitors. Toffee & Treacle our miniature rare breed donkeys arrive in the summer and leave the park in the winter for their staycation in Costa del Tetbury. During the summer months we fly the Kookaburras if the weather permits. The park has over 40 peafowl which display in the summer months and hoot away giving the park its atmosphere! The Bird Park has been hosting Christmas now for some 10 years and as there are no other Reindeer locally this is the place to come to meet that famous trio, Rudolph, Prancer, Comet and Cupid our latest arrival.

The Bird Parks Winter Wonderland Event has been nominated as one of the top 10 Christmas Attractions to visit in Rural England, in the top 3 for lights by the Huffington Post and will be celebrating its 10th Anniversary this 2018. Tickets are on line and available for purchase.

This park is just brimming with charm and fun for all the family throughout the year. The roll top Gypsy Caravan and Eider the new toddlers caravan are an artistic delight! However, there is no getting away from the delight everyone takes in being up close and personal to a wonderful collection of animals and birds who are free.
