The graphical directory started with the idea that an imaged-based presentation of information - organised simply on one screen page - could be a new and exciting way of searching for information. Colourful logos and images could be used to connect consumers, quickly and easily, with a large number of local websites, just through the simple click of the mouse. The initial ideas were developed arou

nd the setting up of a gardening directory providing links to a wide range of gardening businesses in one county - Gloucestershire. Very quickly it was realised that these ideas could be developed across a diverse selection of topics such as restaurants, pets, weddings ... and also county by county.

in 1915 began the Battle of Frezenburg Ridge. This was a German attempt to destroy a salient created by the First Battle of Ypres.

An important hill changed hands numerous times and by the fifth day when 2nd battalion of the Gloucestershire Regiment had been withdrawn from the line they'd lost nearly 350 men.

At exactly 15:57 on the same day 1st battalion of the Gloucestershire Regiment were ordered over the top at the Battle of Aubers. Over 260 men lost their lives in a matter of minutes in a fruitless frontal charge.

In the space of just a few days the Gloucestershire Regiment had lost many brave souls.
