I'm hosting a public meeting in partnership with Police Scotland Fife and Kingdom Off Road Motorcycle Club in Glenrothes on July 3rd to talk about illegal off-road biking and anti-social behaviour across the constituency.
Electric off-road motorbikes are cheaper to buy on the second-hand market now, leading to distressing - and potentially dangerous - incidents in our communities. Just recently an elderly lady was seriously injured in Lochore during an incident involving a Sur-Ron.
I'll be looking to host another public meeting on the issue over the summer in the Lochgelly/Ballingry/Kelty area. Meanwhile, the Glenrothes meeting will take place on Friday, July 3rd at 6pm, Lomond Centre, Woodside, KY7 5RA.
If you can't attend but want to submit a written question to the panel, please comment below or email me at [email protected]
π SEIZURE OF OFF-ROAD MOTORBIKE β LOCHGELLY π
09/06/2026
Officers have seized a Sur-Ron electric motorbike following an incident on Station Road, Lochgelly.
A 15-year-old youth has been charged in connection with several road traffic offences. The bike was found to be being used unlawfully and has now been removed.
β οΈ Off-road bikes must not be used on public roads unless they are fully road legal, insured, and the rider holds an appropriate licence.
They are also illegal to use off-road if ridden in an antisocial manner or without the landownerβs permission.
Such behaviour can cause significant risk, damage, and distress within our communities.
We will continue to take action against those using vehicles illegally in our communities.
If you have concerns about similar behaviour in your area, please report this to Police Scotland by calling 101, or 999 in an emergency.
