“She’s got a new lease of life.”

This Dementia Action Week, we’re sharing Kath and her family’s story

With support from Shared Lives carer Elaine, Kath is getting back out into the community -visiting cafés, parks, garden centres and spending time doing the things she enjoys.

For her son Russell, the difference has been clear.

“She’s sprightlier,” he says. “Before, she was just sitting on the couch all day.”

Live More with Shared Lives helps people living with dementia stay active, connected and part of everyday life - while giving families regular, trusted support too.

At SHL Leicestershire we have had some wonderful news about Dominic's achievement and wanted to share the wonderful news and beautiful photo's with you all.

It was in honour for all the volunteers for their hard work and time spent helping out at the Hospice.
