Mental Health Week 💜

Mental health matters every single day, but this week is a reminder that you’re not meant to handle everything alone.

For care‑experienced young people, life can feel heavy in ways others don’t always see. Your feelings are valid. Your experiences matter. And reaching out for support is a strength, not a weakness.

Whether it’s talking to someone you trust, joining a session at Future Foundations, getting outside for fresh air, or taking a quiet moment for yourself. Every small step counts!

You deserve support, understanding and space to breathe

🌿 Happy Garden Day 💜

Spending time outside isn’t just good for the body — it’s powerful for the mind too. For young people, nature can be a calm space to breathe, reset and feel grounded.

Whether it’s sitting in the sun, touching the grass, watering a plant or taking a slow walk, small moments outdoors can make a big difference to your wellbeing.

Today is a reminder to pause, step outside and let nature do its thing. You deserve that peace 💜

🧠 Signs You’re Overwhelmed (and what to do) 💜

It’s okay to not be okay. Feeling overwhelmed can creep up slowly, especially when you’re juggling work, housing, relationships, money or mental health. Here are a few signs you might be reaching your limit, and small steps that can help:

Signs you might be overwhelmed:
• You’re tired even after resting
• Small tasks feel huge
• Your emotions feel “all over the place”
• You’re avoiding things you normally manage
• Your mind feels busy, foggy or hard to switch off

What you can do:
• Pause for a moment: slow breathing or grounding can help your body settle
• Break things down: focus on one small task instead of everything at once
• Talk to someone you trust: you don’t have to carry everything alone
• Be kind to yourself: you’re doing your best, even on tough days

You deserve support, understanding and space to breathe 💜

🧽 How to Clean a Room in 10 Minutes 💜

Cleaning doesn’t have to feel overwhelming. Here’s a quick 10‑minute routine to help your space feel calmer and more in control:

1️⃣ Minute 1–3: Pick Up the Floor
Clothes in one pile, rubbish in the bin, dishes by the sink. Don’t overthink it — just gather.

2️⃣ Minute 4–6: Clear Surfaces
Tidy your desk, bedside table or counters. Put things back where they belong or group them neatly.

3️⃣ Minute 7–10: Quick Reset
Make your bed, open a window, wipe one surface. Small changes make the whole room feel fresher.

A tidy space can make your mind feel lighter too 💜
