By strengthening planning and assessment, schools can help ensure that all learners benefit from high-quality teaching and support.

More consistent approaches will help ensure all learners achieve their full potential.

🎥 A reminder to watch our latest HM Inspectors “In Conversation” video with South Ayrshire Council.

In this video, colleagues reflect on the introduction of a new three-level quality improvement model, designed to ensure support is tailored to the needs and circumstances of individual schools.

The approach was developed in response to local data highlighting a range of pressures across schools, including attendance, attainment and safeguarding. Rather than applying the same level of support everywhere, the model allows support and intervention to be adapted where it is needed most.

Thank you to the headteachers and local authority colleagues who shared their valuable insights and experiences.
