This year Childrenās Summercamp will be celebrating their 50th year Anniversary. For 50 years, local volunteers have taken the young people of North Glasgow to Bonaly Scout Camp in Edinburgh for a holiday of a lifetime with their peers. Last week, the wonderful Linda Beaton and her family organised a fundraiser to help raise money for this years camp. Together they raised an impressive Ā£3402.80š¤© Linda has been an amazing help with raising money for camp in the last few years and we cannot thank her enough for her help and support. The night was a celebration of Toni and Marie who were the amazing singers of the group Point Blank and involved a wonderful trip down memory lane with videos of their gigs and celebrating their love for music and their community! We would also like to thank the following people for helping make the night a success! - Paul and Barry 175 club who matched the funds on the night with giving us - Ā£1530! Joyce Findlay for donating a tv, Sarahjane and Megan for selling bingo and raffle ticket's, Dianne for contributing and helping organising the event, Robyn for helping put together the gig on the live screen. Larry, Hank and Davie from point blank for their amazing performance to end an amazin night.
And everyone who donated gifts for the raffle. Also the wonderful Donnelly family who worked behind the scenes emailing companies to get amazing prizes for our raffle. You are an amazing bunch of people and from everyone at Summercamp and the young people you have helped support - we are eternally grateful x
