🌻 Summer Holidays Photodump - ROUND 1 🌻

Well then, it's been a couple weeks back to school and we're looking back on the fun we had during the summer holidays. So many different kinds of play happened over the 6 weeks! We saw loads of gymnastics, big jumps, throwing yourselves down hills, climbing high in the trees, making delicious recipes in the mud kitchen, facing fears, testing your strength, stretching the imagination, meeting animals, getting downright mucky and making so many new friends of all ages, stages and backgrounds!

☀️ SUMMER HOLIDAYS - DONE! ☀️

Thank you all for coming down to the playground this summer! We have had a brilliant holiday period and we can't wait to share with you more photos and shenanigans soon!

The playground is closed today so that we can do a big tidy up and get the playground back to it's fantastic self ready for our nursery starting back tomorrow alongside our playground term-time opening hours.

The playground will be back open tomorrow (Wednesday) from 3-6pm.

Enjoy the last few days of your holidays everyone and we'll see you all very soon!

Baltic Street Adventure Nursery is now open for enrolment for 2026-27! 🤸‍♀️

We are the East End's first fully outdoor nursery and we pride ourselves on building kind, independent, resilient and happy children.

Spaces are available for children aged 3 to 5 years old. Spaces can be split between Baltic Street Adventure Nursery and your child's current indoor nursery meaning your child can have as much of an outdoor education as you desire.

Glasgow City Council funded places are available.

During term time the nursery is open Monday to Friday from 9am until 3pm.

Hello! We have had a bunch of new followers recently so we thought it was about time we introduced ourselves again! We are Baltic Street Adventure Playground, a child-led adventure playground in the East End of Glasgow dedicated to fun, mucky, risky play!

We opened in 2013 as a community response to the Commonwealth Games and since then we have grown into one of the main community assets in the area. We provide a secure, supervised play space for children, free food for every child when they attend, the East End's first full outdoor nursery, a community food hub, volunteering opportunities and much more!

We are a registered charity and are very lucky to have the support of some amazing funders who continuously support us to keep providing and growing the space (so much to the point we currently have a brand new building being built on site - shout out Clyde Gateway and Glasgow City Council!)

We are proud to always provide our services completely FREE OF CHARGE. We will never charge anyone a penny for accessing the space and our services as we never want cost to be a barrier to any family - no matter where you're from or what your background is.

That being said, donations are always appreciated but NEVER expected. We just want to see the space being used by children and families and see the benefits that risky play can provide for all!

Our opening times are...
TERM TIME
Tuesday - Friday: 3-6pm
Saturdays: 11am-5pm

SCHOOL HOLIDAYS (funded by Glasgow City Council Holiday Programme)
Tuesday - Saturday: 11am-5pm

NURSERY
Monday - Friday: 9am-3pm (email [email protected] if you would like information on registering your child)

FOOD HUB
Saturdays: 12-1pm for pensioners and those with mobility issues
1pm onwards (until all the food is gone!) for everyone else

Woohoo! The roadworks outside of the playground are now complete so you can feel free to park outside again on your next visit!

📣WARNING!📣

This is what our street currently looks like 😅 there will be road works happening for the whole of this week, as a result the street is closed so if you are driving here you will need to park elsewhere! There is on street parking on the surrounding streets.

This might also be a good time for an adventure on the train or bus! Dalmarnock train station is a 5 minute walk away and there are good bus links on the nearby streets too!
