We are noticing a trend during 5-yearly electrical inspections regarding non fire-rated downlights which have been installed.

All works should be carried out by a qualified tradesman. This is particularly important to any alterations which involve the electrics in the property. We have had several tenants facing costs to bring their lights up to the correct electrical standard because of the health and safety risks of their alteration. Any electrical works must be carried out by a qualified electrician (NICEIC qualified) and a Minor Works Certificate submitted to Pineview once work completed.

If you are looking to change your lights to downlights, you must submit an alterations and improvement form to Pineview before works are carried out. Please contact our office on 0141 944 3891 if you require further information.
