Rolling out for Phase 2. 📡⚡️

With the initial phase locked down, our communications detachments have deployed into the field for the next stage of Annual Camp—spanning strategic locations all the way from Dundee down into the North of England.

Our operators are exploiting High Frequency (HF) radio to maintain reliable, beyond-line-of-sight voice and data networks across vast distances and challenging terrain. When standard infrastructure isn't an option, mastering HF propagation ensures critical mission traffic keeps flowing, no matter the gap.

From establishing field antenna systems to coordinating real-time command data over hundreds of miles, our soldiers are putting their specialist training into action.

👉 Why not try something different with your spare time? Don't think you'll fit in? Wrong. We are just like you. We conduct our military training alongside our day jobs, you could too. The Army Reserve offers a challenge & the opportunity to gain new skills & qualifications.

From blank am******on to live communications—Annual Continuous Training (ACT) moves into its next gear. 🪖⚡

The video below captures the intensity of our final attack, marking the culmination of the infantry tactics refresher phase. Every soldier in 32 Signal Regiment is trained to fight and survive first, ensuring our teams have the discipline and fieldcraft needed to operate under pressure.

Now, it’s time to deliver our core capability.
The Regiment is currently preparing to deploy south into England this Sunday for the intensive communications phase of camp. For the next week, our personnel will be working across dispersed locations, delivering robust, high-readiness network infrastructure and digital links directly to end-users.

Tactics get us into the fight. Technical expertise keeps the force connected. This is what we train for, and this is what we do.

Listen in as one of our Troop Commanders breaks down this weekend's skills refresher, ensuring our Royal Signals Reservists are operating at peak capability.

Before deploying high-readiness network infrastructure, the fundamentals have to be second nature. This training sets the standard for next week, when 32 Signal Regiment moves into the critical communications phase of our Annual Camp exercise.

From our base in Dundee, our troops will deploy across the UK to establish and maintain resilient tactical communication networks under realistic field conditions.

Sharpening our skills at every level. ⚔️📡

​While our soldiers are in the field revising their foundational soldiering skills, our Squadron Commanders are deep into their own professional development and tactical planning.

Want to try something different? Joining the army reserve will allow you to take part in opportunities and experiences you may not normally find in your day-to-day life.

Once in you’ll be able to train with us on Tuesday evenings and two weekends a month, taking part in training with British Army equipment, meeting like minded people and getting paid to do it!

On Tuesday evening, soldiers from 2 Sqn Dundee used a Virtual Reality system. They got to experience shooting at virtual targets with different weapons, going through several different courses. This allowed our personnel to test their performance under stress but in a safe environment.

This weekend some of our reservists from across the regiment partook in Summer Sales, a charity music festival celebrating the past and present members of the Royal Corps of Signals.
Our musicians in the regiment contributed to the Royal Corp of Signals Pipes and Drums, helping to provide live music & entertainment throughout the weekend.

In the Army Reserve you can get paid to learn an instrument or dance and to perform as part of the Corps band, musicians from our Regiment have been able to perform in countries over the world, some examples of events they have performed at are: The Edinburgh Tattoo, Basel Tattoo, Australia and New Zealand Tattoo, and at the Kings Coronation.
