The 2026 BFI FAN UK-wide season, Rip It Up, explores and celebrates the changing face of youth rebellion, culture and expression on screen in the UK. The Pyramid at Anderston presents a packed weekend of film, music, author events, photography and special guests, co-curated with Ken McCluskey (The Bluebells) and in partnership with Street Level Photoworks.

Gas Safety Awareness Week | 14 to 20 September 2026

At Glasgow West, your safety is our priority. As part of Gas Safety Awareness Week, we're sharing some simple but important tips to help keep you and your household safe.

Get your gas appliances serviced every year
Please help us stay compliant by ensuring access is provided for annual gas safety checks.

Test your carbon monoxide (CO) alarm regularly and report any faults to us.

Know the symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning
• Headaches
• Dizziness
• Nausea
• Collapse or loss of consciousness

If you experience any of these symptoms, seek medical advice immediately.

Know the signs of a gas leak
• Appliances cutting out
• A strong sulphur or "rotten egg" smell
• Hissing sounds near gas pipes

🚨 If you suspect a gas leak, call SGN immediately on 0800 111 999. Do not smoke or operate electrical switches, as this could create a spark.

Please do not tamper with your gas meter for any reason. If you're struggling with energy costs or payments, our Welfare Rights Team may be able to help with advice and support.
