The suitcase is officially getting packed...as Bobby the Right There Bear gets ready to join the Tartan Army to cheer on Steve and the boys in Boston! ⚽

He’s packed all the essentials:
- A fresh shirt for match day (taps aff optional)
- Hairspray to keep that fur looking good
- Stash of Caramel Wafers (you can take the bear out of Scotland…)

We're hiring Support Workers to join our new First Stop Emergency Accommodation programme in South Lanarkshire.

Willow Gate, located in Hamilton, provides 15 self-contained units for individuals, couples and families experiencing or at risk of homelessness. With 24/7 support in a calm, psychologically informed environment, the service will help people through difficult transitions and support them on to more settled housing.

At Right There, we believe the right support at the right time can change lives - and our accommodation is about creating a space where people are treated with dignity and given the stability they need to move forward.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a new team, help shape the programme and provide meaningful support to people at risk of homelessness.

A Right There supporter is taking our kilted teddy bear on the journey - and he can't wait to get involved in the fun with the famous Tartan Army! 🥳

But Bobby’s journey is about more than football. It’s about reminding people what “home advantage” really means 💛

We are thrilled to announce Sofia as our Mentor of the Month for May in recognition of the fantastic work and effort that she has invested into her Mentoring role 🫶

Sofia began her Intandem Mentor journey with Right There in 2026. From their first meeting at the Right There Community Hub, mentor and mentee have proven to be a wonderful pairing and have embarked on a wide range of activities and happy adventures together. Sofia has displayed commitment, consistency and enthusiasm during her meets with M.

M says “I always look forward to seeing Sofia and spending time with her. The activities we do are great and we have fun together”.

M’s aunt adds “Sofia has a lovely personality and has been great for M. She really has brought her out of her shell and I’m delighted with this”.

Thank you Sofia, for the positive and powerful impact that you have made in your mentee’s life and the happy memories that you are building together. 🎉 🎉 🎉

As the new Cabinet is announced, Scotland has a choice.

Homelessness is not inevitable - it is the result of systems that respond too late and support that comes too slowly.

Our manifesto outlines the actions the new Scottish Government must take:
- Focus on prevention, not crisis
- Deliver early, joined-up support
- Address the root causes of homelessness - poverty, trauma and poor health

These are practical, achievable steps that would change lives.
