QP big pond coot family update! 😍 The five cootlings are nearly as big as mum and dad now! Mum is so attentive to her family: she makes sure all her young are fed, checks on her other half (energetically preening by himself on dad log) then returns to join her brood on the family preening log. If you had the sound up and wondered what the snorts were, well watch to the end, Mr & Mrs Swan 🦢🦢 are keeping a close eye on the food bag!

QP big pond coot update! The coot pair nesting in the George Rickey sculpture unveiled their five adorable little cootlings this week! 😍 We wish the family every success, as the pair's first brood this year sadly failed, all young were lost, probably due to predation.
