Doors Academy SCIO The Strength to care Our origins are from the streets, roofless and invisible. Signposting and Advocacy for entering higher academic education institutions.

Collectively a plethora of lived experiences blended with a melting pot of skills and ideas with the objective of establishing 'homes'. Coming together to form a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation that prioritises support of adult homeless and those adults vulnerable to becoming homeless, has been life changing for all of us.

4 Doors Academy purposes are:

4.1 the prevention or relief

of poverty for homeless adults and adults at risk of becoming homeless.

4.2 the advancement of education and learning for homeless adults and adults at risk of becoming homeless, applying a capabilities approach- incorporating life skills, human/hard skills employability training and retraining in marketable new skills. Research and Publishing of Academic papers on causes of homelessness, safeguarding and remedies.

4.3 the advancement of human rights, conflict resolution or reconciliation for homeless adults and adults at risk of becoming homeless.

4.4 the relief of adults in need by reason of homelessness and adults at risk of becoming homeless; suffering or vulnerable to suffering ill health- both physical and mental, disability, financial hardship, including no access to public funds and other disadvantages that present. Our vision is to be at the cutting edge of eradicating homelessness in Scotland and across the Globe. We rise by lifting others. BY GOD'S STRENGTH NOT OURS.

The pomp and ceremony are over.
No more masquerade games from politicians.

Now it falls to the people of Scotland to ensure government delivers what they promised:

Homelessness eradicated.
Housing is our birthright. Not a privilege.
Not a distant 2040 target.

Enough of the photo-ops and empty pledges.
The circus has left town. The clock is ticking.

Every single day wemust remind them.
Total accountability. No respite. No excuses.

Safety and housing for all homeless souls, especially for the women and children trapped in mixed-sex hostels and hotels — their safety cannot wait until 2040.

We will not rest until every person in Scotland has a safe, secure home.

They lied about homelessness until people blamed the homeless.

And once the lie became common sense, nobody questioned the system that created it.

That is how deception survives.
