ARM UKRAINE NOW

The world continues to witness and condemn the mass bombing of Ukrainian cities, yet ignores the cry from Ukrainians for weapons. As battles for Pokrovsk and Kupiansk continue, we must persist in supporting the forces of good against evil - our weapons must not rot away in warehouses but be on the frontline, saving the very people defending us.

This war has not slowed down, quite the opposite, as russia is escalating its war on Europe. We urge everyone to join us tomorrow! Amplify our voice, speak to the masses and make an impact in Ukraine.

🎯 Aim: Arm Ukraine for victory, call on the UK government to provide the support Ukraine needs to win.

There are many tools that the UK government can apply to arm Ukraine - over this summer, we have heard the MoD reject the calls of multiple MPs to transfer to Ukraine the Warrior Infantry Fighting Vehicles - the same ones the MoD is opting to scrap, despite the 20,000 signatures calling for the transfer of vehicles. European countries such as Italy and Germany have already transferred their IFVs to Ukraine, making a significant contribution to supporting Ukraine and saving costs on scrapping.

Over the last two weeks, we are proud to announce that we have completed two further projects to support Ukrainian defenders on the frontline. Accumulatively, we have now completed 12 Requests and supported 13 local crowdfunders - all to aid the most important people in Ukraine.

Request #12 has now arrived to Sumy, and the Fundraiser Support #13 has helped the defenders of Kharkiv. We sincerely thank all of our defenders and wish them all to successfully complete their missions and to come back home alive and well. We are proud to support!

❗️ Три роки минуло від початку повномасштабного вторгнення в Україну – три роки війни, болючих втрат і неймовірних жертв. Три роки незламності. У цей день ми збираємося разом, щоб згадати, вшанувати і стояти єдиним фронтом на підтримку України.

🙏 Демонстрація на St Enoch’s Square буде моментом солідарності, можливістю виступити проти агресії і стати поруч із тими, хто продовжує боротися за свободу та суверенітет України. Звідти ми разом підемо ходою до Glasgow Cathedral, де відбудеться пам’ятний захід "Invicta Ukraine".

‼️ Це більше, ніж просто вшанування пам’яті – це заклик до дії. Нагадування про те, що боротьба України – це не лише боротьба за власне існування, а й за цінності свободи, гідності та справедливості, які об’єднують нас усіх.

🇺🇦 INVICTA UKRAINE: Три Роки Незламності 🇺🇦

🙏24 лютого 2025 року виповнюється три роки з дня, коли Росія розпочала повномасштабну війну проти України. Три роки болю, втрат і тяжких випробувань для кожного українця. Але водночас — це три роки незламної боротьби, стійкості та віри в перемогу.

Щоб вшанувати цю дату, ми запрошуємо вас на "Invicta Ukraine" – подію, що засвідчує: ми залишаємося нескореними, непереможними. Наш народ вистояв перед темрявою, і разом ми здолаємо всі випробування.

Цей вечір — не лише можливість згадати про війну, а й нагода об’єднати тих, хто змушений був залишити рідну землю, із тими, хто їх підтримав. Разом ми вшануємо силу духу, відвагу та незламність українського народу.

🇺🇦 Kherson Under Attack: Civilians Targeted by russian Drone Strikes 🇺🇦

Tomorrow we are rallying to raise awareness about the ongoing 'Human Safari' in Kherson, as russian troops are hunting civilians with FVP drones.

🐴 Location: Next to the Statue of the Duke of Wellington, 9 Waterloo Pl, Edinburgh EH1 3BG

In recent months, russian forces have intensified their brutal assault on Kherson, deliberately targeting civilians through drone strikes. Innocent people—children, families, and the elderly—are caught in the crossfire of these ongoing terror attacks. Meanwhile, the russians are targeting all moving life within the city and its outskirts to make the area uninhabitable.

Since the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, Kherson's population has dropped from about 280,000 to 60,000. From those who remain, nearly half of the 547 casualties reported from July 1 to Sept. 9, 2024, were caused by drones.

Every day in August, russian troops conducted over 100 drone strikes in the region, in September, these numbers steadily rose, as on 9 September russian forces conducted over 300 drone attacks in the region throughout a single day.

These attacks are not just acts of war; they are crimes against humanity. russia's deliberate targeting of civilians violates international law and basic human decency.

We need the world needs to know what russia is doing in Kherson. These drone strikes are a form of terror designed to break the spirit of the Ukrainian people, but we will not remain silent.

🎬 Сюжет фільму: Фільм розповідає історію кримської татарки Саїде Аріфової, яка під час Другої світової війни двічі врятувала 88 єврейських дітей-сиріт: спершу — від нацистів, видаючи дітей за кримських татар, а вдруге — від військ НКВС, які здійснювали депортацію кримських татар у травні 1944 року, довівши, що ці діти є євреями.

Захід буде завершено короткою презентацією щодо New Scott Strategy та опитуванням.

Your Poem, Your Voice: A poetry competition.

In celebration of World Poetry Day, Barnardo's, the British children's charity, are hosting a national poetry competition for young people (under the age of 18), from Ukraine who are now living in the UK.

They hope to showcase these poems and share the voices of young people from Ukraine (consent will be gained before publishing).

They have three themes to inspire the poem: Happiness, My Home or My Superpower. The poem can be in any style, and does not have a word limit.

Prizes for the top three winners will be Amazon Vouchers, and shortlisted entrants will receive a digital certificate.

The closing date for submissions is the 1st of March 2024, and the winners will be announced on World Poetry Day, the 21st of March 2024. Poems should be submitted to our Ukrainian Support helpline team at [email protected].
