So excited to announce my candidacy for GUU Present Student Member! Read my manifesto here -
You should vote Alyssa Mills for PSM! As a dedicated member of the union who is constantly either debating, participating in parlis, or spending way too much money on way too many pints of fun, I am committed to making this union a safe, comfortable, and accessible place for every student who walks through its doors. I plan to ensure the safety of women and everyone else who feels unsafe by establishing a codeword system and implementing training for all staff, bartenders, and security. I will also advocate for increased digitalization of Union processes, including membership applications, voting, suggestions, event ticketing, and more. Additionally, there will be a constantly updating calendar with all Union events, to ensure every student knows about and can participate in our many activities! Finally, we will create a more comfortable space for students to study by setting up pillows, blankets, comfortable seating, and a tea station in one of our libraries. By drawing more people into the union and giving everyone the resources they need to succeed, I will work to make sure every voice is heard and everyone feels safe and happy with their home away from home at the GUU.
