We’re at Kinneil House today for a special Historic Environment Scotland members’ event.

Peg and Hamish have been baking delicious treats from 16th century recipes, including mince pies, maids of honour, and a sensational array of spices that would have been the envy of any Renaissance kitchen.

The event is sold out, but we’re hoping to repeat it at other HES properties this summer.

Yummy history at its best!
