Shine Your Eye

Shine Your Eye Jesus said, 'Follow me' and we did. He simply called people to follow him. We heard his call and we follow him. We view spirituality and politics as inseparable.

Jesus never asked anyone to become a Christian,
never built a steepled building,
never drew up a theological treatise,
never took an offering,
never wore religious garments,
never incorporated for tax purposes. Because the Scriptures spend so much time on the poor, we will too. We argue the poor are not only trapped in poverty, but in the ideological debate about poverty. We care for the poor

and vulnerable and challenge those who neglect and oppress the marginalised. We stand resolutely and irrevocably with the Kingdom of God, and will function as the conscience of the state. They should not be separated, polarised, even put into competition with one another. We do not hold with complex theologies, clichés, assumptions and rhetoric, denominational leanings, or dogmatic principles. Jesus is the centre, the point of the whole thing. The words and actions of Jesus himself are where it all starts. He says to us "Be like me"

To serve others is to live.
