Last week we walked through the Gorbals, tracing the footsteps of Glasgow’s Jewish community.

Using images from our Immigration – Making a Life in the Gorbals learning kit, we explored how these streets once looked and the lives that shaped them.

✨ Be part of something truly special ✨

On Saturday 28th March, an incredible group of walkers will come together for the much-anticipated Glasgow 850 Interfaith Sponsored Walk!

What makes this special is the genuine representation at its heart: people from diverse backgrounds—Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Sikh, Hindu, Pagan, Buddhist, non-religious, and more—will visit places of worship across Glasgow representing 8 different faith traditions. We’ll be walking all day, talking, and experiencing this together.

All ages and all backgrounds. Real people, real communities—side by side, in solidarity. Getting to know each other and raising funds to support ongoing interfaith engagement.

You can be part of this epic cross-community effort by sharing or making a donation to help us continue building real connections.

💛 Support genuine, grassroots interfaith connection
💛 Help create spaces for communities to meet and learn from one another
💛 Be part of something that reflects the best of who we are

Here’s what some of our donors have said so far:
“Walk, talk, connect together. In today's world we need to learn, share, work to bring communities together and recognise that we all belong to the one human race.”
“In a time of rancour, Interfaith Glasgow’s work is more necessary than ever.”
“Such a special way to promote interfaith… walking and talking together is the way forward!”

🌱School Visits Open for Spring!

Have you booked your class to visit the Scottish Jewish Heritage Centre? There is still time to arrange an engaging and meaningful experience for your pupils.

With pupils preparing to choose their subjects for the next school year, this is an ideal opportunity for those considering History or RME to deepen their understanding of Judaism, the Second World War and the Holocaust within a Scottish context.
