Cllr. Audrey Dempsey Ward 17 GCC I have a background of working in the community supporting people suffering from addiction for over 10years.

I loved this role, but the red tape that was in place from the "powers that be" did not work for me and I saw daily how resources were getting less and less and people were being punished for being poor and having conditions. This is when I took matters into my own hands and founded GN1BFSS from my garage at home. My friends got involved and people came to volunteer as it grew very quickly. The se

rvice became a registered charity in September 2017. It wasn't long before word spread and now 5 years later the charity has supported over 20,000 individuals and distributed goods to the value of £2.7million.....and it hasn't cost anyone a penny!!!! This has been achieved through sheer hard work and determination, so lets just imagine what could be achieved if our council & government had the same level of hard work and determination going on!!! I have been born and bred in Barmulloch and raised my own family there too so I am no stranger to the area. This is why I have chosen to stand for Springburn/Robroyston. I have supported people city wide in Glasgow by providing them with the tools and goods they need to meet their basic daily needs and it has proven to be a lifeline for most. Now I want to support my friends, neighbours and locals to improve our area and make it a welcoming safe place for ourselves, but most importantly, our children! If you are kind enough to give me your vote, I give you my word that I will fight your corner relentlessly until we get results. Local elections are not about independence or grudges. Local elections are about your community, your roads, your transport, your local resources etc so please vote for me and together we will make change happen

Gutter politics is the pits of the earth and the Green Party have mastered it.

What astounds me most about this is that not once, at any point of their statement, was any thought or comment given to the women and girls who have fallen victim to assaults both physical and sexual. Not once. And why? Well that simply DOESNT FIT THEIR NARRATIVE
