A fantastic day was enjoyed by all at Castle Park on Saturday 13th June during the Food & Drink Festival, organised by Frodsham Town Council, with a superb Food, Drink and Artisan Market arranged by Independent Street.

Castle Park was once again buzzing with visitors, all eager to sample the wonderful variety of food and drink on offer. Throughout the day, the marquee hosted mouth-watering food demonstrations from local independent businesses, alongside some amazing cocktails.

There was plenty to keep everyone entertained, including a Punch and Judy show that delighted both young and old alike, while the bumper cars proved especially popular with the older children.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended and helped make it such a successful and enjoyable event!

Hug thanks also to staff, councillors and volunteers, we couldn't have done it without you.

Yesterday, PC Williams and I attended an out-of-force location and recovered this stolen horse trailer as part of an ongoing theft conspiracy investigation.

So far, five individuals have been arrested in connection with this investigation and remain suspects while enquiries continue. We do anticipate making further recoveries of stolen trailers.

This trailer will ultimately be returned to NFU Mutual, who insured the victims loss. Recoveries like this are not only important from an evidential perspective, but also help:

1) To reduce the national cost of crime and cost to insurers
2) It means the effort put into the theft on the part of the offenders was wasted
3) It prevents stolen equipment being used in other crimes
4) Knowing it will likely be detected it reduces the value of stolen property in criminal circles
5) Where equipment was not insured allow victims to recover some funds

Guidance on keeping your trailers and horse boxes secure can be found here - https://orlo.uk/H11Xa

We would also be very interested to hear from anyone who has purchased or was involved in the exchange of similar second hand horse trailers from the South Staffordshire / Peterborough / Lancashire areas in the last two years - particularly where something didn't seem quite right or where the price seemed a little too good to be true! Anyone with information should contact 101 using the reference: 25001062269

Equally if you have any general information regarding the theft of / or handling of stolen trailers (or other equipment) please report to us either online https://orlo.uk/6BFrO via 101 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111
