Job Alert – Facilities Operative (Walton-on-the-Naze, CO14)
Frinton & Walton Town Council are hiring for the Columbine Community Centre – a busy seaside venue with a 350-seat theatre, bar, café, sports, events and community groups.
Part-time, Permanent
15 hours per week (rota based, includes evenings & weekends)
£12.65/hour
Must-haves:
Live local (due to occasional split shifts)
Full UK driving licence
Access to a vehicle insured for business use
Comfortable with physical work & lone working
Role includes:
Customer Service, Cleaning, minor repairs, event setup, keyholding, safety checks, admin (Microsoft 365), serving at the bar/café including alcohol, inspecting our other assets around the Frinton & Walton Town Council area, supporting contractors & visitors.

Emergency Road Closure – Church Road, Walton On The Naze
Effective from: 1 December 2025

Church Road is currently closed for up to 21 days under Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. This emergency closure is essential to ensure the safety of the public and our workforce while UK Power Networks carries out urgent repairs to a low-voltage mains cable.

• Basic finance tasks
• Social media, website updates & event support
• Occasional site visits + some evening meetings (TOIL)
About You
• Great customer service skills – a team player
• Very confident with Microsoft 365 & WordPress
• Able to learn RBS software (training provided)
• Organised, detail-focused, strong communicator
• Excellent Social Media Marketing skills
