We learnt yesterday from the Daphne du Maurier grandsons talk that it was almost 100 years to the day that Ferryside was purchased by the family.

Ferryside is a Grade II-listed house located in Bodinnick by Fowey, best known as the family holiday home where author Daphne du Maurier wrote her first novel, The Loving Spirit. Situated on the water’s edge next to the Bodinnick Ferry, this historic 1830s shipwright’s workshop remains owned by the family.
