🚒 Congratulations on a remarkable milestone

This month marks 42 years of service for Fordingbridge Firefighter Paul Dorrington — over four decades of commitment to the fire service and the local community.

During his time at Fordingbridge, Paul has attended some of the station’s most significant incidents and medical emergencies, played an active role in numerous charity events through the service, raised substantial funds for good causes, received many a commendation, and has taken pride in seeing his son join and grow within the job.

Forty-two years of responding to calls without hesitation — day or night, weekday or weekend, Christmas Day or Sunday lunch. The missed plans, interrupted meals, long nights in difficult conditions and everything else that comes with the role are all part of a service Paul has consistently delivered without fuss.

From all of us at Fordingbridge Fire Station, thank you, Paul, and congratulations on reaching this outstanding milestone. 🚒

Wilton Crew were mobilised twice on Sunday evening.

A crew of six were sent to assist Salisbury Fire Station with a call that came in for alarms off of St. Ann Street, luckily this turned out to be a false alarm with good intent.

A crew of two were mobilised in the Water Carrier to a vehicle fire near Redlynch, this time assisting Fordingbridge Fire Station

Both trucks were back on station at 21:45, washed and ready for next call.

🚒 Welcome Back, Mike! 🚒

Some firefighters just can’t stay away—and we couldn’t be happier about it!

After standing down from the service a year ago, Firefighter Mike Penton has decided he’s not done yet. Mike has rejoined the crew at Fordingbridge Fire Station, bringing with him his experience, enthusiasm and community spirit.

We’re delighted to have Mike back on the team and look forward to many more years of service together. Welcome back, Mike—you were missed! 👏🔥

🚒Another Month of Milestones at Fordingbridge Fire Station🚒

🏆Over the past month we’ve marked some more very special moments within our fire station family.

We said a fond and heartfelt farewell to Gary Towerton and Callum Dedman. Gary, though with us for a shorter time, made a valued contribution and quickly became a well-liked member of the crew. Callum leaves after an incredible 14 years of dedicated service, during which he has given countless hours to protect and support our community. We thank them both sincerely for all they have given and wish them every success in the future.

🤩We were also proud to celebrate two remarkable milestones: Lee Dorrington and Shaun Lincoln each reached 20 years of dedicated service. Their unwavering commitment, professionalism and care for the community are an inspiration to us all.

A special thank-you also goes to the families and loved ones of Gary, Callum, Lee and Shaun. Your support, patience and encouragement make it possible and you are deeply appreciated by everyone at the station.

🙌Please join us in congratulating Lee and Shaun on their incredible achievements, and in wishing Gary and Callum the very best in their next chapters.
