Welcome to the page of 99 (Folkestone) Squadron, Air Training Corps. The Kent coast's premier representatives of the Royal Air Force Air Cadets.

99 Squadron is part of a UK-wide cadet force with more than 41,000 members aged between 12 and 20 years. We are sponsored by the Royal Air Force and can give you hands-on experience of activities and courses that will challenge and develop your

skills to help you succeed in whatever you want to do.

β˜† We pride ourselves in our variety of activities, our sporting achievements, our standards of drill & discipline and our standing in the community.

β˜† We are one of 34 Squadrons based in Kent with our Wing headquarters in Maidstone. Kent Wing is split into 4 areas, 99 (Folkestone) Squadron is in area 4 and the Wing is a part of London And the South East Region of the Air Training Corps.

β˜† 99 (Folkestone) Squadron Air Training Corps

Parade Nights: Mondays & Thursdays 1900-2130hrs - Minimum joining age is 12 years & must be in year 8 at school.

β˜† There is no obligation to join the regular RAF, the reserves or any of the services in Her Majesty's Armed Forces once you have joined the Air Training Corps. But what you will get out of it are meeting new friends and enjoying many new experiences & opportunities along with academic & practical nationally and internationally recognised qualifications and awards that you cannot get anywhere else! - Contact us or come in for a chat to find out more!

Cadets supported the Royal British Legion (Hythe & Saltwood branch) selling poppies on the lead up to Remembrance.

The RBL presented a certificate in recognition of 99's efforts of raising Β£2539.18.

Cadets were invited by the padre to the Carols by Candlelight service at St John's Church Folkestone.

It was a beautiful festive service, with readings from one of the cadets and the Commanding Officer followed by mince pies amd hot spiced apple juice🌲

Day 10 of 99 (Folkestone) Squadron's countdown to 2026 with highlights from 2025.

In May this year cadets supported the Paws for Thought event run by Folkestone and Hythe District Council and the RSPCA, it was a great recruitment tool and they helped to collect for the local RSPCA branch (plus see lots of lovely dogs in the dog show!)

Day 9 of 99 (Folkestone) Squadron's countdown to 2026 with highlights from 2025.

Cadet Warrant Officer Jones (sat centrally) celebrated his last parade night with 99 on a fun night organised by the padre.

He left the squadron to embark on his RAF career, we couldn't be prouder and wish him all the luck! He's currently in his first month of training.
