What an absolute pleasure to be invited to the Folkestone Nepalese Community Centre to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the twinning between Mechanagar Nepal and Folkestone! Our past mayor Jacqui meade organised this in her mayoral year and kept strong ties and for that we can thank her. We are the only town to be twinned with a town outside of EU. What a accomplishment!

Today I attended the Holocaust memorial Event in the remembrance Gardens.
80 years ago soviet forces liberated Auschwitz-Birkenau where 1.1 million people died. Throughout the n**i years jew's, disabled, gypsies and homosexuals were persecuted and murdered.
We need to learn from history and make sure that we don't turn a blind eye, but instead speak out and make sure it never happens again.

What an absolute delight it was to be invited to the Noel Redding exhibition yesterday at folkestone museum to open the event alongside his family. A folkestone born musician who spent his childhood here and started his career alongside the famous Jimi hendrix!
Straight after went off to folkestone choral society performance to witness some epic voices.
Folkestone is known for local talent and we all know it for the musical arty town! So amazing to see different talent 😚
