Many of you will know and will have been taught by John Bradbury MBE at the Nautical College or before that at Fleetwood High school.

Held in high regard by all who come in contact with him, we surprised him with lunch and drinks at the Shovels on Saturday for his 80th birthday! Ray went all out with his present themed around his favourite film, Hunt for Red October 📽️

On Sunday 6 September, 12 Fleetwood Nautical College students and staff attended the Merchant Navy Day commemorations in Liverpool, joining the service at St Nick's Church before taking part in the procession to the Merchant Navy Memorial at Pier Head.

It was an honour to pay tribute to the generations of Merchant Navy seafarers whose service and sacrifice have helped shape our maritime nation, while inspiring the next generation of maritime professionals.

A fantastic opportunity for our students to be part of such a meaningful occasion. ❤️
